I find it so cool how much physical perception of people can change. When you see someone for the first time and their face doesn’t really stand out or mean anything to you, or you have an adverse reaction, or even an overly positive reaction. But then you learn more about them and hear the things they say and stuff about their lives, and the insignificance of their face turns significant. People who you never would have considered attractive look beautiful and conventionally attractive people look plain.

That’s what confuses me about people my age who say things like, “ew, he’s OLD”. I don’t get that. First of all, no one is really old, not on the inside. I read a quote once about how death is tragic at any age because every person you see dying, whether they’re 12 or 97, is dying young.

Second of all, if you really got to know something or respected them greatly, you’d end up finding them attractive or “aesthetically pleasing” regardless. I’m not saying you want to fuck every nice person you get to know, but you know what I mean. All of a sudden, something insignificant has significance, and the idea that it didn’t before is very strange.

Just something I think about sometimes.
